Protekt Encryption Logo

Protekt Encryption

Product Overview

Protekt Encryption is an all Java implementation of TLS version 1 (including backwards compatibility with Netscape's SSL protocol version 3). Protekt is designed to use the Java Cryptography Architecture (JCA), allowing you to plug in any JCA 1.2 Security Provider. We have a list of compatible providers on this site.

TLS allows secure communications over public networks - such as the Internet - enabling secure e-commerce solutions and virtual private networks (VPNs).

Protekt can add secure communications to any Java 2 software that uses TCP/IP sockets for communication. This includes applets and distributed applications built using Remote Method Invocation (RMI).

Comments about Protekt...

"Protekt certainly provides simplicity of use and speed of deployment that outperforms any other SSL implementation on the market."

Bill Ray, Network 23, UK

"From a high level I would like to complement the quality of your documentation (including your pdf and JavaDoc). This information was very readable and informative. Also it appears that you have made some wise implementation choices (by making use of the API's in the JCE). I have reviewed some other RMI over SSL products; your documentation and implementation is far more polished than products I have looked at in the past."

"I have downloaded and integrated the demo version of Protekt. I am amazed at how easy it was. It took only a few minutes to enable our server software to use SSL."

"Your on-the-ball responsiveness to development questions was the primary reason we gave up mucking around with JSSE (!) and switched to the Forge product."

"We are currently evaluating Protekt as a candidate for SSL-based encryption in a world-wide distributed application. We are using RMI interfaces between servers and clients in a Java 1.2 environment. We are very satisfies with Protekt's architectural approach and the convenient way of using and administering your SSL implementation."

"I downloaded a copy of your Protekt Java TLS/SSL implementation evaluation from your website. I have successfully used your software to implement an example program and so we would like to purchase a full license from you"

"I just downloaded the export version of the Protekt product. So far, I've been very impressed!"
